ANNIVERSARY NARROWS - EPISODE III

Located inside Lake Mead National Recreation Area - Anniversary Narrows was one of those places on my list to check out for sometime. Originally, we intended to drive the first couple miles into the trailhead but after seeing a rough road ahead of us we decided to hike the first 2 miles.

In hindsight, hiking the first couple miles seemed rewarding but after driving in the next couple times I realized it was definitely much easier to drive. Nonetheless, we got to enjoy our hike in as we got to explore more.

As we descended down to the canyon we spotted an abandoned mine which was definitely exciting. Prior to the hike, we had done some research on the trail and realized there were abandoned mines around the area, so we decided to venture inside one of the mines and found unusual things. That’s when we decided to turn around and get back on trail.

Much to my surprise, the narrows were a lot better than I had imaged. Check out our video!

VALLEY OF FIRE STATE PARK - EPISODE II

On this episode we cover Nevada’s largest and oldest state park —

Valley of Fire State Park is located just over 50 miles away from the Las Vegas strip. Offering incredible views, hikes and camping. I’ve visited the park so many times throughout the years, yet I always seem to find something new and this time was no different.

It was a cold morning in December and we decided to hike a couple popular trails as well as locate a canyon I’ve been in search of for quite sometime. The park was unusually empty and I remember spotting some wildlife roaming about the park as we drove up the canyon.

We were able to locate Pastel Canyon as we continued exploring parts of the park. Valley of Fire is always a place I seem to enjoy wandering about without any particular direction, driven only by curiosity.

There will always be a new arch or land to explore. I will always return to this place time and time again, as it holds a very special place in my heart. Make sure to check out our video!

LIBERTY BELL ARCH - EPISODE I

It was the morning after Thanksgiving —

We decided to go on a hike as we usually do every week. It was a particularly cold morning and I was excited to check out this location, as it’s been on my list for quite sometime. Like many of these hikes, it was about a 40 minute drive outside Las Vegas, NV.

Located in Arizona, this trail is part of the Lake Mead National Recreation Area.

The trail follows a wash and old roads over hills and down through canyons. Hikers will pass the remains of an old WWII-era mine before reaching an impressive natural arch and Colorado River overlook.

It was a strenuous yet rewarding hike with incredible views of the Colorado River. Check out our video!
